Kara is the founder and artistic director of the Mendocino Dance Project, a dynamic and energetic dance company producing thought inspired work on the Mendocino Coast on and off the ground. The company produces annual shows, teaches creative dance in schools, and offers classes and workshops throughout the county. Starkweather has performed in several international cities with Bandaloop, toured with the Flynn Creek Circus, choreographed for the Gloriana Opera Company, collaborated and performed with the Symphony of the Redwoods.
