Leslie has taught and cared for the garden at the California School of Herbal Studies in Forestville since 1993, and directs the Sonoma County Herb Exchange, a non-profit clearinghouse connecting medicinal herb growers with medicine makers and manufacturers.

She is a professional member of the American Herbalists Guild and teaches nationally on growing and using medicinal herbs, their folklore and history. She is also the author of  Life In the Medicine: A Guide To Growing And Harvesting Herbs For Medicine Making. lifeinthemedicine.com
