Beginning

  • Students have just begun and do not yet use many herbs on their own
  • Students are not able to identify many common medicinal plants in their area
  • Students do not know many plant actions
  • Students do not know many herbal, medical, or technical terms
  • Classes are paced slowly with plenty of time for any and all questions

Intermediate

  • Students feel comfortable using several herbs themselves and do so when needed
  • Students are able to identify some common medicinal plants in their area
  • Students are becoming familiar with some plant actions
  • Students are becoming familiar with some herbal, medical, and technical terminology

Advanced

  • Students use herbs themselves and feel confident recommending herbs to others
  • Students are familiar with most plants in their area
  • Students understand plant actions and are comfortable using herbal, medical, and technical terminology 
  • Students are familiar with many plant constituents
  • Classes are paced quickly, if appropriate, and do not answer or address beginning and intermediate questions

All Levels

  • Student's skills are at any and all levels: beginning, intermediate, advanced
  • All levels of knowledge will be addressed in this class
  • Beginning, intermediate and advanced students will find the same level of satisfaction of learning and enjoyment in this class
  • This is not the level of student who is welcome to attend, this is the level of the class focus
  • All Levels means that the class will cover beginning, intermediate, and advanced information equally, or that the class is self paced as in a craft, movement or music class, and that students of all levels will feel equal satisfaction in the class

By checking "All Levels"  I understand that this is not a statement of who is welcome to attend my class, it is a statement of the focus level of my class. By checking All Levels I am stating that I will equally cover beginning, intermediate, and advanced information, or that the class is self paced as in a craft, movement or music  class, and that students of all levels will feel equal satisfaction in this class.
