Mugwort is a common herb that grows under many conditions across a large portion of the globe. However, unless you are an acupuncturinst who uses it for moxabustion, you may be unaware of its tremendous healing powers. Before being used in acunpuncture, mugwort was burned by shaman-healers to connect with source and elicit healing change in their patients. This plant is a shape-shifter and a potent catalyst for supporting change within us on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.

In the first half of this class we will cover many of the ways mugwort has been used across time, as food, medicine, and magical ally. Students will have the opportunity to see, smell, feel, taste, and sketch the plant in preparation for embarking on an inner journey to meet the guiding spirit or essence of mugwort. As a way of further deepening our connection to mugwort we will exchange stories about our experience with the plant spirit. If time permits, students may sew a simple dream pillow stuffed with dried mugwort and lavender.

2. Magical and Medicinal Qualities of Mugwort, part 2 - all levels
In the second half of the class students will learn many first-aid and personal energy balancing skills that they can employ to bring healing to themsleves and others, drawing on their initiated relationship with mugwort. As the consciousness of our dear planet Gaia Earth expands to meet this new energy, we too can focus on expanding our own consciousness and embrace the new vibrations circling our planet with love. Melissa will help you dispel your fears by sharing practical, affordable, tips and solutions to protect your and your family's health and instill inner confidence in your body's natural and miraculous ability to heal and thrive in any circumstance – given the right outlook, environment and by creating your own nutritional, emotional, spiritual support systems.
