3. Resilient Strategies for Changing Times   all levels
Our culture is undergoing a great transformation, as the patterns of the industrial age are more widely perceived as unsustainable. This means they cannot last. In the face of looming systems failure, climate change(d), and economic collapse, we have the opportunity to be part of the transition to a regenerative culture. But this transformation is not as simple as changing a light bulb, or composting our kitchen scraps. What is needed is a fundamental change in consciousness, from consumer to caretaker. It is the profound work of this time to make this transition in ourselves, and to become leaders in facilitating the transition around us.

This workshop is an opportunity to understand your own gifts and challenges in transition; learn skills for inner and outer transformation; and extend this awareness outward towards all the lives you touch. Emotional and spiritual obstacles to change are acknowledged as we explore daily practices for growing our resilience at this incredibly important time.

The workshop explores strategies for making this transitional time of life a juicy, healthy, self-empowering experience. This is a leading-edge workshop exploring the connection between our thoughts and beliefs, and our experience of health and illness. In the workshop, we look at some the science supporting each of these premises, and the implications of living a consciousness based, heart-wholeness life. The workshop also focuses extensively on various practical tools for finding greater peace, ease and joy in the present moment, in order to shift our experience of reality and our physical health at a cellular level.

1. INTENSIVE: Loving Your Watershed: Practicing The Art Of Gua Sha   beginning/intermediate
The lymphatic system plays a vital role in maintaining radiant health and is the main part of the body’s immune system. You can think of the lymph system as the rivers of your body that transport fluids, hormones and nutrients, chemicals and toxins through the lymph vessels to the body. It also ensures that excess fluids, proteins and toxins are drained out of the tissues. After flowing through the lymph vessels, lymphatic fluids go into lymph nodes. These nodes filter out and destroy microorganisms. Clogged lymph nodes result in weight gain, fat storage, toxins stored in fat cells, cellulite, dis-ease, exhaustion and cancer. Unlike the circulatory system, the lymph system has no pump; hence, keeping the lymph system flowing is one of the most important parts of self-care. The gua-sha is a daily tool that can be used to self-care your lymphatic system by stimulating the movement of fluids in the lymphatic system. It is characterized by a series of rhythmical massage movements that stimulate lymph circulation throughout the body, re-route lymph around blocked or damaged lymph node collection sites, to encourage flow in drainage areas, and to soften fibrotic tissue. As fluid is moved out of the affected limb, the susceptibility to bacterial infection and injury is reduced and an increase in functional abilities results. Toxins stored in fat cells are finally released and drain though the sub-clavian vein to return to the blood system and be filtered out by the liver and expelled. This class is designed to teach participants to understand how the lymphatic system works and how the daily use of a gua sha can lead to healthy lymphatic flow and greater well-being.

Tess Whitehurst

1. Magical Fashionista: An Offering of Incense and Flowers on the Divine Altar of You
Humans didn’t start wearing clothing for warmth, but rather for its magical properties: a belt could be protective, while an amulet might help with conception. Even today, fashion is beloved not just for its practicality, but for its ability to inspire, uplift, and to help us experience what we most want to experience and feel what we most want to feel. This unique workshop starts with the solid knowing that you are already beautiful beyond words. As a point in space where form meets spirit - a drop in an eternal ocean or a ray of an infinite sun - you are a divine altar. As such, fashion and self-care choices can be consciously employed as offerings of flowers and incense on the divine altar of you. Including powerful tips related to things like western and eastern astrology, Chinese face reading, feng shui, color therapy, and pattern symbolism, this fun class will help you know yourself as a rare and priceless work of art while providing both practical and metaphysical exercises to help you express your unique personal style. Regardless of your present relationship with the concept of "fashion," you’ll enjoy learning to honor your “certain something”: that edge, sparkle, and magnetic attractiveness that is your destiny and your truest, most authentic self.

2. The Magic of Flowers: Working with Our Blossoming Allies beginning/all levels
A flower is a manifestation of divine beauty and wisdom. And while each flower’s vibration is unique, what it expresses is universal: it’s available to all of us and is already a part of us. The magic of flowers, then, might be defined as the employment of a flower (or flowers) as a focal point for our intention, or as a window into our own divine aspect, in order to affect a desired positive change. While simply spending time with a flower can provide an infusion of nourishment and spiritual sustenance, the practice of working with blossoming allies can take many additional forms. This class will give you everything you need to begin communicating with (and downloading healing information and energy from) flowers, and will provide a number of tools and techniques that will help you establish a basic framework for your flower magic practice. Topics will include aromatherapy, flower essences, spending time with flowers and intuitively connecting with them, and more. We’ll explore specific rituals and practices, and you’ll leave with fun, eminently applicable (and delightful!) tools for personal healing and growth.

3. The Art of Bliss: Ancient Alchemy for Modern Success intermediate/all levels
Through simple, soul-nourishing metaphysical techniques, this unique class will teach a comprehensive framework for manifesting your true desires and reconnecting with your natural state of bliss. The bagua, one of the primary tools of Taoist alchemy, is an example of the mathematical construct known to alchemists as the square of Saturn. Transcending cultures and cosmologies, it's a timeless aspect of our inner landscape that can be employed to unite all aspects of your spiritual practice into one interconnected whole. While one can spend a lifetime exploring its nuances, one can also become acquainted with it and work with it immediately. In this class, taught by feng shui consultant and author Tess Whitehurst, you’ll discover the bagua's nine keys, and explore their endless, interactive magical potential.
