Darcey trained at the North American Institute of Medical Herbalism, as a Clinical Herbalist and Nutritionist under Paul Bergner, and also apprenticed with Rosemary Gladstar and Charles Kane. 

She has been studying shamanic arts and practices since 2003 with private teachers and in Peru. She has been practicing as a Clinical and Shamanic Herbalist since 2007 in Arizona, leading ceremony, retreats, medicine making and plant meditation workshops, and serving her private clients and students in person and online. 

She is the founder of the  Sacred Earth Medicine Apprenticeship and Sacred Earth Medicine Retreat in Arizona, and Whistling Stone Center of Sacred Wildness.
