Reem Khalil

After attending prestigious art schools both locally and abroad; University of Amman, Jordan; Otis College of Art and Design, Los Angeles and Saddleback College, Mission Viejo studying textile design, visual art and merchandising. Reem became the head visual designer for the Anthropologie company.  She then went on to pursue her art career and was accepted in fine art shows across the Southwest. With her textile designs she became an award winning surface designer.  Exhibitions include: Saddleback College Gallery-drawing; Sawdust Art Festival-award winning textile design; Aliso Viejo public library-mixed media; 7° Gallery- mixed media sculpture; International textile fashion show; Indian Wells Art Festival-award winning textile design; La Quinta Art Festival; Southwest Art Festival; Coronado Art Festival; Tempe Art Festival; Fountain Hills Art Festival.

Reem has served on the Board of Directors for Laguna Craft Guild; member of Laguna Outreach Community Arts, an active art educator in her community and she is currently on the Board of Directors for Sawdust Art Festival.

Reem has many media publications acknowledging her for both her community work and artistic accomplishments: Los Angeles Times, Coast Magazine, InStyle Magazine; Orange County Register; Coastline Pilot News; Laguna Beach Independent; Stu News and KX 93.5 Radio Station. She lives in Laguna Beach, CA.
