Denise Newman
Denise, a decade-long attendee of NCWHS, works as an environmental educator and natural resource interpreter for a non-profit in Humboldt County. This year at NCWHS she shares her recent experience in helping prepare and facilitate a beloved friend’s (and NCWHS sister) crossing over to the ‘glorious other side.’ Through slides, she will walk us through the tender story of how her friend prepared spiritually to take flight, visualized her home vigil while lying in honor for three days and conveyed her wishes for a green burial among the tree roots. Q&A to follow and an open conversation about what we can do to inform our own passage and relieve the decision-making for our loved ones.
