Christa has more than 25 years of expertise as a clinician, teacher, medicine maker, and gardener. She is the author of The Essential Guide to Western Botanical Medicine, a clinically-based, meticulously referenced and beautifully designed 750+ page textbook. The founder and director of the Northwest School for Botanical Studies in Fieldbrook, California, she has trained hundreds of students who have become the new generation of herbalists. Christa lectures at herbal conferences and schools throughout the United States, and maintains an herbal pharmacy and demonstration garden with more than 200 species of medicinal herbs. She also publishes articles on botanical medicine and related topics.
