Greta de la Montagne, RH(AHG)
Greta is a third-generation Montanan and has been a professional member and mentor with the American Herbalists Guild since 1999. She has specialized in herbal first aid for environmental and social justice movements for over 30 years, and has first hand experience treating a wide range of injuries and ailments in children, livestock, and large groups of people. She operates a private clinical practice; Gentle Strength Botanicals and Massage Therapy near Arcata, California, where she blends Ayurveda and Bodywork with Clinical Herbalism. Greta cultivates or wildcrafts nearly all the medicines for her apothecary. She founded the MASHH Clinic Collective in 1997, administered the base clinic during the Seattle Shutdown in 1999, was a member of Black Cross Health Collective in Portland, and is a Wilderness First Responder and EMT-trained.
Greta gave testimony in Massachusetts federal court as a witness in defense of the herbalists' generic term "fire cider". She is currently stewarding the website of our honored teacher Michael RS Moore, (one of the 3 guiding lights of western herbalism) at the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine through a major platform upgrade.
