Laura Clemmons

Laura Clemmons

Laura is a clinical herbalist, shamanic practitioner, and lineage holder in the Italian Strega and Maya women’s healing traditions. With 24 years of experience, she has cultivated a mastery in both evidence-based functional medicine and ancestral spiritual healing. A member of the prestigious National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH), Laura is integrates clinical protocols with the intuitive, ceremonial arts of plant medicine.

As founder of Tendril Herbal Apothecary & Healing Center in Sandpoint, Idaho, Laura leads a multidisciplinary healing clinic that offers advanced therapies including hyperbaric oxygen, PEMF, halotherapy, and cryotherapy. Tendril is more than a clinic, it is a community hub and educational sanctuary where Laura trains the next generation of herbalists through beginner and clinical apprenticeships. Her apothecary also serves as a trusted resource for local MDs, DOs, and NDs, providing custom formulations, consultations, and collaborative care for complex cases.

Laura’s clinical expertise is grounded in her studies at the Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies under Paul Bergner and Feather Jones and the Shen Nong Center of Traditional Chinese Medicine under Dr. Gu Ding. Her practice emphasizes women’s hormonal health, fertility, adrenal and thyroid support, and gastrointestinal wellness, all through a functional medicine lens. She is a formulator and co-provider, and creates herbal protocols that complement conventional treatments.

Equally devoted to the sacred, Laura is a Maya practitioner of abdominal and womb healing traditions based in the Yucateca lineage of Miss Beatrice Waight. She leads Sacred Feminine Pathways, a mentorship and ceremonial training program that guides women in reclaiming their intuitive gifts and ancestral wisdom. Through this work, she facilitates rites of passage, spiritual mentorship, and monthly Red Tent ceremonies, spaces of collective healing, cyclical awareness, and feminine empowerment.

Laura holds both science and spirit in her work, offering clinical care while honoring the unseen dimensions of healing. Whether collaborating with physicians, teaching at national herb conferences, or leading a sacred circle under the moon, Laura is rooted in reverence and radical compassion.
