Shannon Williams
Shannon, herbalist/ Family Nurse Practitioner,  works as an integrative health clinician in primary care. She is also a certified massage therapist. Her path included two herbal apprenticeships: one with Beth Riedel and one with Matthew Wood at Mary Pat Palmer’s school. She worked as president of the non-profit  board of the Sonoma County Herb Association for 10 years with the Sonoma County Herb Exchange.
Through this work she was able to broaden her herbal education and practice. She was an herbalist long before a nurse practitioner. She only went into nursing to broaden her medical herbal knowledge by studying anatomy and physiology and ended up with an RN then an FNP in practice. This was for the best as it helped her develop her role as a clinician wherein she still is a practicing herbalist.
She is grateful for her education which she mostly attributes to patients and to the plants themselves. She loves her work and is happy to share and support women on their herbal and /or clinical journey to helping themselves, their family, and the broader public should they be called to that.
